In January, MCEDC announced SRI International as a partner in the development of the Countywide Strategic Plan which will establish a clear, actionable framework to guide economic growth, competitiveness, and inclusive opportunity across the County for the next four years, focusing on strengthening key industries, expanding workforce development opportunities, and fostering innovation while ensuring broad-based economic prosperity in Montgomery County.
MCEDC is set to deliver a draft plan to County Executive Marc Elrich by July 31, 2026. The Plan will be reviewed and shared with the Montgomery County Council by January 2027 and is expected to be adopted during the summer of 2027.
