September 9, 2026Marsellas Williams served as Economic Development Director for the City of Powder Springs, Georgia, leading the city’s business attraction, retention, and expansion efforts. During his tenure, he attracted over $100 million in investment and 235 jobs, helping recruit a $50 million logistics center and a $36 million mixed-use downtown development from site selection through incentive negotiation and community engagement. He also built the city’s business retention program, spearheaded marketing efforts, and established a partnership with Kennesaw State University’s Small Business Development Center. Previously, he served the City of Forest Park, where he helped land a $2 billion data center campus.
Earlier in his career, at Cobb County Economic Development, he supported corporate attraction and expansion projects that generated more than $225 million in investment and 2,100 jobs, including the Home Depot headquarters expansion and Papa John’s headquarters relocation.
Marsellas holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University.
