Dr. Anne Khademian is an Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs in the University System of Maryland, and Executive Director of the Universities at Shady Grove (USG), where she leads a shared strategic vision that aligns higher education with workforce, talent, and economic development priorities across Montgomery County and the region. As USG’s Chief Academic Program Officer, she collaborates with university, industry, and community partners to develop innovative academic programs and career pathways that strengthen the regional talent pipeline and prepare students for success in a rapidly evolving economy. She oversees the effective, equitable, and inclusive operation of USG, ensuring students graduate career-ready. With more than 25 years of leadership in higher education, Dr. Khademian has dedicated her career to advancing student success, workforce innovation, and regional economic competitiveness.
