IT Services Provider Powersolv Relocates to Montgomery County, Md. 

Last week, Powersolv, a leading IT services provider, held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new headquarters in Rockville, Md. Relocating from Reston, Va., this move marks a meaningful addition to Montgomery County’s vibrant business and technology ecosystem.  

Powersolv has built a strong reputation over the years by managing and supporting IT projects across the state, as well as within Montgomery County. With the help of a site selection consultant, the company explored its relocation options and ultimately chose Montgomery County, citing strategic advantages including access to top talent, proximity to key partners, and a supportive local business climate.

One key factor in Powersolv’s decision was the MOVE Grant Program, which Powersolv is an applicant of. This initiative is specifically designed to encourage business relocation and expansion within the county. Powersolv, if approved for the program, will expand into new commercial office space and be eligible to receive relocation support—up to $9,000, depending on the square footage leased. 

The MOVE Program is just one part of Montgomery County’s broader commitment to encourage economic development in the county. In fact, last year alone, the County set a new record by investing $248 million on procurements through its Minority, Female, and Disabled-Owned Business Program. These efforts are creating more pathways for small and emerging businesses to succeed and thrive.
