Incentives

The Rockville MOVE Program is open to businesses that are relocating or expanding from outside the corporate limits of the City of Rockville, or startups moving into their first commercial space. Ideal applicants are businesses that strengthen the City of Rockville’s economy by creating jobs in high-growth industries and investing in the quality of their facility.
Maximum grants of up to $40,000 for companies that are new to the City of Rockville that lease at least 1,000 sq. ft. Class A or B office space.

Supplemental grant available to investors in biotechnology companies located in the county. Approved investors that receive Maryland State tax credits will automatically receive the supplemental grant.

JCTC provides an income tax credit to eligible businesses that locate or expand in the state and create a minimum number of net new full-time positions. The credit is equal to $3,000 per new job.

For life sciences companies constructing new facilities are exempt from the County’s development tax; this exemption can be worth millions in savings, depending on square footage.
