Montgomery County SBIR/STTR – Matching Grant

Grants

The only County SBIR/STTR match program of its kind in the country, the Montgomery County SBIR/STTR Matching Grant Program helps companies that have recently received an SBIR/STTR Phase 1 or Phase 2 award for biotechnology, medical or life sciences research. Eligible companies may receive non-dilutive funding for up to $5,000 reimbursement of technical assistance costs associated with applying for a first SBIR/STTR award (BIR/STTR Phase 0), up to $25,000 to SBIR/STTR awardees who have received no more than 2 prior Phase 1 awards (SBIR/STTR Phase 1); and up to $50,000 to SBIR/STTR awardees who have received no more than 4 prior Phase 1 awards and no more than 1 prior Phase 2 award (SBIR/STTR Phase 2).

Rainscapes Rewards

Grants

Provides rebates up to $10,000 for commercial property owners installing rain gardens and conservation landscaping, planting trees and implementing other projects that help control storm water pollution. Property owners are also eligible for on-going credits against their Water Quality Protection Charge.

Montgomery County MOVE Grant Program

Grants

The updated MOVE grant program helps businesses that are signing their first commercial lease or expanding their existing lease by at least 500 square feet in office space. Qualified companies signing a commercial lease in the county may receive up to $150,000 for a new office space. MOVE grant awards are funded on a first-come, first-served basis based on the date of receipt of submitting all required documentation and subject to availability of funding.
