Before joining MCEDC, Shanard served as Conference Planner for Infinity Conference Group on the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) contract, managing large-scale virtual and in-person events. His background also includes roles in marketing, project management, and university event management, where he oversaw complex initiatives that strengthened stakeholder engagement and organizational visibility.

Shanard holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Baltimore and a B.S. in Sport Management from Towson University.

Outside of work, Shanard enjoys spending time with his cat, Monèy. He also serves as an Assistant Coach for Towson University’s Men’s Rugby team and is a proud member of Mu Kappa Tau, the national marketing honor society.
