Carol Lane, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs

Carol Lane leads government affairs for X-energy, where she works closely with Congress, the Administration, and federal agencies to shape and advance U.S. energy, nuclear, and national security policy in support of the company’s commercial and government deployment objectives. She joined X-energy in 2015 and plays a central role in aligning advanced nuclear deployment with federal policy, appropriations, and regulatory frameworks.
Ms. Lane brings more than three decades of experience spanning the legislative and executive branches of government as well as the private sector, with deep expertise in energy policy, civilian and commercial space, and national security. Her legislative experience includes serving as Staff Director for the Science, Technology and Space Subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, as well as a professional staff member on the Senate Budget Committee, where she worked on space and energy policy, funding and oversight.
