Early and mid-stage Montgomery County Companies Received Over $55M in Investments in October

Venture capital and private equity investment in early and mid-stage Montgomery County companies totaled just over $55 million during the month of October. Companies that received investment spanned industries, including life sciences, technology, and home services.

Most notably, Rockville-based OncoC4 raised $50 million of Series B venture funding in a deal led by Greater Bay Area Homeland on October 2, 2025, putting the company’s pre-money valuation at $610 million. OncoC4 is a biopharmaceutical company intended for the discovery of novel biologicals for cancer and neurodegenerative disease treatments. The company develops immunotherapy products targeting cancer evasion of adaptive and innate immunity, enabling healthcare providers to access drugs that uncouple therapeutic effects and immunotherapy-related adverse effects.

Additionally, Kensington-based Bettarcar secured $1.8 million in seed funding to expand its reliable home services platform, which connects homeowners to trusted professionals for repairs and remodeling. In another deal, Emerald Intel, which is based in Bethesda, raised $1.78 million in seed funding from Breachway Capital to grow its business intelligence platform serving the cannabis industry.

From mid-size companies like OncoC4 to early-stage companies like Bettarcar, Montgomery County offers a supportive and friendly business environment for companies of all sizes.
