Montgomery County is on the MOVE
Montgomery County's innovative MOVE Program offers companies that sign their first three-year (minimum) commercial lease in the county a grant of $8 per square foot (sf). Geared towards startups and businesses that locate into Montgomery County for the first time, the grant applies to companies that lease up to 10,000 sf.
Please Note: The Montgomery MOVE program has assisted 18 businesses with MOVE program grants in the current fiscal year (between July 1, 2017 and January 31, 2018). At present, all available funds have been allocated. Additional funding should be available as soon as July 2018. Reminder that companies do need to apply for funding within 90 days of signing a lease.

The program was established as part of Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett’s economic development plan to promote job training and placement for county workers and meet the workforce needs of county employers.
Maryland Department of Commerce Workforce Development and Training seeks to promote economic growth and vitality by leveraging opportunities to develop a talent pipeline that aligns with industry needs. A variety of programs can help your business identify and train new workers, or upgrade the skills of your existing workers.
