Lauren Damone is a seasoned communications strategist with over 13 years of experience translating organizational values into a compelling digital presence. Her career spans a diverse range of industries – from collegiate football to government contracting health – where she has consistently elevated brand visibility and deepened audience engagement through thoughtful storytelling and platform-specific strategy.
Lauren began her communications journey on the football staffs at Penn State and Southern Methodist University, where she led digital content for both program and head coach channels. Most recently, she spent four years at Westat on the Public Health Communications team, supporting CDC and NIH clients. There, she helped usher their social media presence into the algorithm-driven era, collaborating closely with subject matter experts to develop content that resonated with public audiences.
Passionate about bringing stories to life across digital platforms, Lauren is especially energized by work that advances mission-driven goals. Though she’s lived in seven states, Maryland- and Montgomery County in particular- has always felt like home.
