Forbes 30 Under 30 Names 5 Montgomery County Residents to 2025 Lists

When Forbes magazine announced its 2025 30 Under 30 in North America, the list was bursting with local talent. The honorees include NBC digital reporter Maya Eaglin, a graduate of James Hubert Blake High School; Keychain cofounder Jordan Weitz, who graduated from Wootton High School; career advice expert and filmmaker Erin McGoff, who graduated from Olney’s Washington Christian Academy; 504 Found founder Khandaker Wasi and Gen Z Historian Kahlil Greene who both attended Poolesville High School.

Maya Eaglin, Media Category

Maya Eaglin is a digital reporter for NBC and co-host of the network’s Gen Z Snapchat show Stay Tuned, making her one of the network’s youngest on-air talents. She earned a Gracie’s Award in 2021 and Newswomen’s Club of New York’s Front Page Awards in 2022 and 2023. Eaglin lives in New York and is a 2015 graduate of James Hubert Blake High School in Silver Spring.

Kahlil Greene, Social Media Category

North Bethesda’s Kahlil Greene, a graduate of Poolesville High School, has built an online following and small business as the Gen Z Historian, sharing “hidden history” lessons designed to inspire political, social and cultural awareness. His work has earned him two Emmy nominations, a Peabody Award and a contract to produce a docuseries with National Geographic.

Erin McGoff, Social Media Category

Erin McGoff, a 2013 Olney’s Washington Christian Academy graduate now living in New York, shares career advice to more than 5 million social media followers. In addition, she is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, the founder of Grey Films and launched the YouTube show No One Knows What They’re Doing.

Khandaker Wasi, Education Category

Khandaker Wasi is a senior at Poolesville High School and one of the youngest on the 30 Under 30 lists. Wasi launched the nonprofit 504 Found, which raises awareness of federal 504 Plans, which provide accommodations and modifications to support students with disabilities so they can receive a free and appropriate public education.

Jordan Weitz, Food & Drink Category

Jordan Weitz is a graduate of Wooten High School who built and scaled the sneaker reselling company Vintage Footwear in Rockville. Today, he is based in New York, where he is a co-founder of Keychain, a company that uses AI to match consumer products companies with manufacturing partners.
