Made in MoCo
If you are looking for unique holiday gifts, look no further. The second annual Montgomery County Food and Beverage Guide is a great resource to discover local products that make great gifts this festive season. The guide also formally launches the MoCo Made brand, which MCEDC developed in partnership with the Montgomery County Food Council to increase visibility of locally made products.
The 20-page publication showcases the diverse array of food and beverages produced on farms and in commercial kitchens located in the County, and also by businesses headquartered here. From baked goods to fresh produce, the guide will offer readers plenty of delicious edible options and more – to help locals discover the uniqueness of our County’s vibrant food and beverage community.
The guide also provides information about the businesses. Want to support a minority- or veteran-owned group? Check out the guide. Interested in finding out if a farm has pick-your-own fruits and vegetables or a wonderful on-farm site market? The guide has it.
The MoCo Made branding makes it easy for sustainability-conscious shoppers to identify locally-sourced products. Look for the fun Eat Local, Drink Local, and Local Love Added stickers at farmers’ markets, farms, supermarkets, and other retail locations around the County. The campaign will be showcased at events that connect County residents with their neighbors who produce awesome fruits, vegetables and other products. Think local this holiday season.
